Blogging and Optimization tips
I wrote an article about the optimization of the Title Tag of your Blogger blog (hosted at blogspot.com): SEO title tag for Blogspot (you can find it under Blogger tutorials).
This tutorial is very simple, and, since it isn’t a hack, it doens’t mess up your blog template. It will take 2 minutes of your time, so it’s very recommended! ![]()

You’re welcome!
If I add that code as is, the one you prefer, what about adding the description tag and keyword tag? Do you just add them directly under this code?
Looking to have a seperate title tag for each post with relevant description tag and keyword tag for each blog post.
Just looking for reassurance that I will do this right. I know how to add meta tags using Microsoft Frontpage as it’s easy to do but blogs need some help.
Looking forward to your help.
Thanks,

However, consider that both keywords and description meta tag are useless for ranking in modern search engines.
Keywords meta tag is deprecated, while description (if written correctly) attracts the searcher’s attention. But it can’t improve your posts’ rank.
Yes I agree. Some search engines still look at meta tags for rankings though. Most do not which is true.
Thanks for getting back to me!

@The Goldfish Guy: the fact is that adding meta tags for each post in Blogger/Blogspot is quite uncomfortable: you have to edit your template and add an IF condition every time.
Since I don’t have a lot of time I prefer to not add them, and to write a good introductory paragraph, instead (hoping that Google will use it for the snippet)
Wordpress is much comfortable: you can add your description meta tag in the “optional excerpt” field.
PS: what’s your blog url?
Nice article for Bloggers like ME. Thank You.
